Fairhaven Place, NEX Senior, and Pacific Flats Hold Grand Opening Celebrations

Over the early summer months, we were proud to host the Grand Opening Celebrations of NEX Senior in Fargo, North Dakota; Pacific Flats in Phoenix, Oregon, and Fairhaven Place in Gastonia, North Carolina. Each event was a powerful testament to the dedication, collaboration, and countless hours that go into bringing our communities to life — and a chance to witness firsthand the positive impact at the finish line.

NEX Senior brought a new level of comfort and convenience for older adults in Fargo. Residents are able to enjoy modern in-home features such as quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and washers and dryers, along with community amenities including heated underground parking, multiple gathering spaces, and outdoor areas for relaxation and connection.

At Pacific Flats, the celebration was made especially meaningful by residents who shared their personal stories. From a refugee finding safety, to a mother and children escaping domestic abuse, to a family that was on the brink of homelessness, these stories reminded us that affordable housing is far more than walls and a roof — it represents new beginnings, hope, and stability for the future.

At Fairhaven Place, we celebrated Commonwealth’s first completed project in North Carolina, and one of Commonwealth’s largest developments to date! The 200-unit, $51M affordable new construction project marks one of the largest investments in Gaston County’s history to serve its low- and moderate-income population.

These three grand openings showcased not only beautiful new communities but also the life-changing impact that affordable housing brings to individuals and families across the country.
