Focus: Matt leads general occupancy and senior affordable multifamily development projects in the MidAtlantic region (Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland) from site selection and concept creation through funding, land development, closing, construction, and stabilization.
Experience: Matt previously worked as a developer of affordable housing with a non-profit organization based in the MidAtlantic for over five years, working with local communities and regional partners to execute projects and meet their affordable housing needs. Before moving into the affordable housing space, Matt gained considerable experience as a project manager, analyst, and process strategist as working with an asset management firm and as a consultant for the federal government. Matt holds an MBA from the University of Baltimore, an MA in History from Penn State, and a BA in History from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
Impressive Facts: In addition to driving the development of numerous 9% and 4% LIHTC projects in Pennsylvania and Delaware, Matt is skilled in designing creative solutions to unique development challenges and has an outstanding track record of winning a diverse array of soft funding in multiple jurisdictions including millions of dollars in HOME, CDBG, FHLB AHP, PHFA PHARE, PA Act 137 funds, and various private foundation grants and soft loans.
Fun Stuff: Matt enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and his sons, hiking and exploring Pennsylvania’s many state parks, trails, and historic sites. Matt also loves cool weather, history, skiing, and anything to do with cars.
